What you will do
The goal of this internship assignment is to investigate how a Microsoft Azure environment can be discovered, monitored and represented within the SIOP / DX NetOps architecture. The intern will focus on Azure inventory and resource discovery, performance and health monitoring, topology and relationships, network and security information, and other Azure-specific operational data. Based on this research, the intern will develop a proof-of-concept (POC) that demonstrates how this information can be collected, normalized and made available for operational use within SIOP / DX NetOps.
The solution must align with Simac’s evolving SIOP / Broadcom DX NetOps architecture. The assignment will investigate a modern and reusable integration approach based on Azure APIs, telemetry sources and data-ingestion pipelines. Kafka can be evaluated as a data distribution or streaming layer, ClickHouse as a scalable analytics and storage platform for selected historical, performance and operational data, and SIOP and/or Grafana for visualization and operational use. An important objective is to determine whether the resulting Azure integration pattern can also serve as a reusable architectural model for integrating other technologies into SIOP in the future.

Team player, with a passion for IT; particularly skilled in XML configuration and scripting in Groovy or Java

Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), API development and programming languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js is preferred
Basic understanding of networking and message buses such as Kafka, and familiarity with visualization tools like Grafana, are considered a plus.
